Driver Education
The Tuscarora School District is proud to offer a school based driver education program that helps students learn the rules of the road and how to safely operate a vehicle. Our instructors will properly prepare teen drivers the for PA Drivers License Test and, more importantly, help to instill confidence and awareness behind the wheel.

Students will learn from our PA Certified professional instructors, with lessons custom tailored to foster safe driving skills for every new driver.
Students will gain confidence in their driving skills and prepare for their drivers exam as well time driving on the road.
JBHS Driving School offers full service driving instruction services including the ability to administer the Pennsylvania Driver’s License Exam - and issue an official PA Driver’s License.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate that can be submitted to their insurance company for a possible auto insurance discount. (Each insurance provider can vary - you will have to contact them with specific discount rates)
Students whom complete the program will have the opportunity to get their senior licenses early. (For more information check out the link: Moving from a Junior to a Senior License)
Additional Details:
In order to offset the costs associated with the program, a fee of $300 is charged for the behind the wheel portion. (this cost can be recouped through auto insurance discount savings)
JBHS behind the wheel program requires 3 hours of on the road driving and 9 hours of simulation.
Once student has met program requirements and is eligible to take their license - the PA drivers license test will be administered at the JBHS campus.
Hours for behind the wheel program are typically before or after school. Administering license on weekends are also a possibility, as schedules permit.
